Campaigns for Christ. These campaigns were under the supervision
of Don & Marian Starks and were involved in the early
elements of the World Bible School Era
in These campaign statistics started in 1983 and finished in 1998. Total Number of Campaigns – 45 Workers – 828 Total Number of Baptisms – 4332 Restorations – 112 In August 1992 there were 18,000 WBS Students in the PIP Partners in Progress From 1987 until 1992 Partners in Progress came to Guyana. 1987 campaigners- patients-670 baptisms-35 1988 campaigners-50 patients- baptisms- 1989 campaigners- patients- baptisms- 1990 campaigners-48 patients-1500 baptisms-143 1991 campaigners-60 patients-2700 baptisms-92 studies-1500 1992 campaigners-29 patients-1200 baptisms-22 studies-75 Southwest church Jonesboro, Arkansas and the sixth & Izard church in Little Rock, Arkansas. 1992 campaigners-17 patients-200 baptisms-34 studies-800
1992-2002 96 different Medical Missions 145,000 patients treated in Mobile Clinics 220 different Nurturing Projects and over 110 Vacation Bible Schools or Bible Hour Programs Given away over 15,000 Bibles Given away thousands of Song Books, and tens of thousands of Gospel tracts and Bible class workbooks 4,300 Baptized Into Christ General Statistics In early 2002 databases were collected in various ways from interviews to data collection sheets. These should be good estimates but the work is large and it is possible that some data was never collected. The following figures are only associated to American visits or campaigns. These do NOT take into account the work of Guyanese Brethren's local campaigns or work throughout the year. 2002 American visitors or Campaigners – 891 Baptisms associated with those visits - 647 A total of 84 churches were identified in 9 regions meeting regularly, with a total Average Attendance of 4,226. 2003 In November 2003, with the help of the Guyanese Brethren the following Statistics were collected. A total of 91 churches were identified in 10 regions meeting regularly, with a total Average Attendance of 4,375. At least 72 Guyanese Brethren received support and others received help with expenses. This does not include employees of organizations, churches, drivers, housekeepers, etc… 6 American families spent longer than 6 months in the country 3 American families spent less than 6 months There are also other American Ministers committed to the work that come for shorter extended stays There are 2 Formal Bible schools and 1 Orphanage 2003 Meeting Facilities Places the church meets can vary significantly from inside town to the interior. The
following are estimations of the current status of meeting
facilities in 68 – Buildings 3 – Own Land 6 – Rented 6 – Met at schools 10 – Met at houses 1 – Community Center There are some facilities not in use.
